Welcome to the WOU Penang Student Association Website! - the WOU Penang Student Zone! This website was conceived by the WOU Penang Student Association and is meant to serve as a source of information, activities and a point of contact among students.

The main purpose of the Wou Penang Student Association is to get students to get to know each other better. We have place for forum discussion, anything you want from pets to shopping from fun to games from activities to activities. Basically its all about what you want to say besides academic discussion. Besides we do have interesting events, latest info and Penang Student Activities that you might just click in and meeting new friendly faces. So do drop us your ideas, feedbacks and comments for us to improve and make this portal as enjoyable one!

The objective of this message is to be conveying my personal perspective to the institute authority that significantly, Studies is predicated upon the Health. A strong constitution is conducive to individual learning. Therefore, I hereby appeal the Penang Student Council of WOU would strive for a Gym facility at our Penang campus..

Should this perceived as a non constructive suggestion, please ignore my message.

Hello,
I am Leslie See, July 2007 Intake Student and Chairman of the WOU JB Students' Club (please note that we are (with the advice of the JB RO Director) using the term CLUB and not COUNCIL.

Article 48 of the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 (Act 30) has this to say about The Students' Representative Council (quote): (1) The registered students of the University, other than external students, shall together constitute a body to be known as the Students' Union of the Unversity (hereafter in this Constitution referred to as "the Union"). (2) The Union shall elect a Students' Representative Council (hereinafter in this Constitution referred to as "the SRC") in the following manner: (unquoteing the rest)

Not: WOU is an Open Distance University and all the students (including you and I) are EXTERNAL students therefore calling our organisation by the word COUNCIL is something good for thought. Hope to herar from you.

Anyway, on behalf of the WOU JB Students' CLUB, I would be grateful if any of you can assist us to set up a webpage like yours. Thanks
